you shouldn't shift cockroaches (or other bugs) from one spider to another. you can spread diseases and parasites between them.

Hello, I am a first time baby tarantula owner and I have a question. I was wondering what I should do if my tarantula has started pre molt and blocked access to his burrow but there is Some mold starting to grow on the substrate surface? Is it safe to scrape off the top layer without stressing out the sling? Or should I wait until after the molt?

Hey I can point you in the right direction to easily learn about genetics and how it’s transferred to their children!! Watch Snake Discovery intro to snake genetics. Exactly the same concept for spider “morphs” :)

Petko, most of these Ts could use more space, small water dishes, hides and enrichment/web anchors. These are all lovely specimens but they could do better with more space. I shoot for 4 to 8 times their diagonal legspan for each direction that's relevant to their lifestyle. For most of these terrestrial species, that would be the length and width of their enclosures. Great feeding responses but some of these specimens have standing room only when extending their legs. While that can work for their hide, they do show a wider range of their natural behaviors when they are afforded space to roam and ready access to a water dish. Also, who doesn't love seeing their T taking a drink from time to time?

Man i love petlko and I’m know its hard to deal with this many spiders but man some of them are to big for there enclosure i mean when the legs are touching the glass all the way around man that cant be good for spiders not being able to move at all.
